Privacy Policy

Data received by the Vesper Service Network (“VSN”) from persons who register as “Advisors” and from organizations who register as members of VSN (“Clients”) will be made available to facilitate the use of VSN by Advisors and Clients.  VSN also intends to use Advisor and Client data to operate, monitor and improve this site, and to monitor and improve its offerings to Advisors and Clients. 

If you connect from this web site to another web site over which VSN has no control, VSN is not responsible for the practices of the hosts and users of the other web sites.  VSN encourages you to review the privacy policies of other web sites to which you might link so that you can understand how they collect, use and share your information.

As an Advisor or a Client you are asked to provide information, including, without limitation, your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, and in the case of Client who is an organization, contact information and affiliation.  In the case of an Advisor, you are asked to provide volunteer preferences, some personal information and a description of your significant professional accomplishments.  VSN also gathers certain information about the use of this site by Advisors and Clients, such as what areas are visited and what resources are accessed, and information about the users including without limitation IP addresses, access times and referring web site addresses.

All information you provide is provided voluntarily, and you consent thereby to the use of that information in accordance with VSN’s policies and practices including those described in this Privacy Statement.  VSN may also use the information it gathers to inform Advisors and Clients of other opportunities among Advisors and Clients, updates at this site, and to ask your opinion about your use of VSN, and your Advisor or Client experience, which feedback will become VSN’s property.

VSN may disclose information to companies and individuals its uses to perform functions on its behalf, such as hosting a web server or analyzing data, which companies and individuals will have access to your information as necessary to perform their functions, but they may not share that information with any other third party.

VSN intends to disclose information if legally required to do so, if requested to do so by a governmental entity or if it believes in good faith that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to legal requirements or comply with legal process; (b) protect VSN’s rights or property; (c) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (d) protect the personal safety of users or the public.

VSN intends to share aggregated anonymous information about visitors to this site with Volunteers, Clients and other third parties so that they can understand the kinds of visitors to this site and how those visitors use this site, which information may include Client affiliations, Advisor qualifications, experience level or other information relevant to the Advisor opportunity.

VSN intends to limit access to its Advisor database only to paying Clients, but cannot guarantee that other parties will not gain access to this database.  VSN is not responsible for the use made of information by third parties who access such information while they are in our searchable database.  The portions of your searchable information that are made public in your VSN registration are accessible to anyone who uses the VSN service.  You may remove your data at VSN anytime, but Clients who have paid for access to the Advisor database, as well as parties who have otherwise gained access may have retained a copy of your information in their own files or databases.  We are not responsible for the retention, use or privacy of information in these instances.

You may review, correct, update or change your registration at any time. VSN has implemented reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, VSN cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat those measures or use your personal information for improper purposes.
